Certified inspectors, not a call center
Inspex Gurus is the remote inspection service of Building Code Guru, the Colorado-based code consultancy that handles plan review, third party inspections and code consultation for builders, property owners and building departments. Same company. Same inspectors. Same certifications. New name for the remote work.
Our inspectors are code professionals with decades of experience in the trade. The people who review plans and consult on code compliance are the people on your call. When your inspector asks you to hold the camera on a connection, it is because they know what a failed one looks like.
Building Code Guru keeps its own name and its own site for everything else it does. Nothing has moved and nothing has been handed off. If you already work with Building Code Guru, you already work with us.
Why the new name
Remote inspection outgrew a line on a services page. It has its own platform, its own process, its own account setup, and two different ways of running an inspection. Explaining all of that properly took more room than a consultancy site had to give it.
So it has a front door of its own. What it does not have is a separate business behind it. One team, one set of certifications, one insurance policy, one contract.

Thirty of them are the credentials that authorize inspection and code enforcement. Those are the ones that count on an inspection, so those are the ones listed here. They are the same credentials building departments require of their own staff.

The remaining nine are plan review and permitting credentials: seven plans examiner certifications and two permit certifications. They are not inspection credentials, so they are not listed above. They are still worth knowing about, for one reason. The person inspecting your work is often qualified to have reviewed the plans for it, which is why they can tell you what was approved and not only what they can see.
